INFORMATION
- 1DESIGN
Karnic engineers give high emphasis on the design of the hull. In fact, every shape, dimension, edge or corner on each Karnic hull has been designed to serve a purpose. Pronounced and deep spray rails on the hull bottom at the right position and length, reverse shape of chines, variable bottom ‘V’ angle, the presence of planing pad, waterline beam and topside flair, are significant parameters to achieve an outstanding water behaviour in calm and rough conditions, in motion or at rest.
- 2STYLE & DETAIL
Karnic aims in every design to offer a unique styling and usable detail with complex modern surfaces to define shapes, well-studied ergonomics and balanced space allocation. Although this requires a lot more effort during design and development, it achieves the unique character of all Karnic models. It is generally observed that there are more features, detail and space utilisation in a given square meter on a Karnic than the equivalent square meter on a boat of the same category.
- 3UNDER WAY
With a top speed of around 45 knots (52 mph / 83 kph), and a cruising speed of 30 knots (35 mph / 56 kph) this boat is powerful and reaches those speeds very rapidly. Planing speed and therefore comfortable cruising is reached at just 10 knots of speed which makes for a sedate cruise along the Akamas coastline.
What a fabulous day! It has become a holiday tradition of ours to private charter a boat. We had two teens with us; one who loves snorkelling and one whose first opportunity today offered. Both have said it’s been the best bit of the holiday. Three of us had our own snorkel and mask but they were available onboard for those who had not.
Our Captain Dave was a pleasant, knowledgeable and interesting guy. He offered some tutoring and my son did some first mate duties whilst my husband took the helm for a time. Under sail, working with the elements was great. It was fabulous weather for testing out the boat too sometimes the wind getting up to 22 knots.
We had two extensive opportunities to snorkel in warm, calm, quiet, blue waters. Our lunch of chicken kebabs, Greek salad, hummus, tzatziki and bread was delivered by speed boat and was delicious.
A superb 6-hour trip. A highly recommended treat.
My husband and I had our honeymoon in Cyprus this year and had a truly unforgettable yacht charter with latchi charters in August. We chose the Jeanneau yacht as there was just two of us and it was amazing to try sailing for the very first time.
